Haven Life Insurance, found online at HavenLife.com, was launched in May of 2015 in order to provide a simpler, more affordable option for buying term life insurance online in just a few minutes.  

How Does It Work?

According to their website, when the co-founders of Haven Life Insurance were expecting their first child, they decided to purchase life insurance and quickly discovered that this was a difficult and time-consuming process, completely out of sync with today’s fast paced, digital world. They decided to change that.

To do this, Haven Life Insurance created the first and only fully medically underwritten term life insurance policy which can be purchased entirely online. They created a proprietary life insurance calculator that is easy to use and has fewer questions than many other online insurance calculators without lacking in thoroughness. They also promise that customers don’t need to submit contact information to use their calculator. 

After calculating your needs, you will be able to compare the quote they provide you with to the pricing quotes available from any other life insurance provider that you have contacted. 

To qualify, customers must be a non-military citizen between the ages of 18 and 64, have a valid US driver’s license, and not intend to use the policy for business purposes or to replace another policy.

However, their website says that in order to be an innovator in the life insurance industry isn’t easy, and requires the backing of a major company with credibility and a history of “unsurpassed financial strength.” To ensure their success, Haven Life chose to partner with MassMutual, a Massachusetts based company that has been successful for more than 150 years.  

Cost/Price Plans

Using the Haven Life Insurance website in order to receive a free quote and to fill out the application for your term life insurance is completely free of charge. Customers of course should be prepared for the cost of life insurance, and will want to fully read and understand the terms of this policy before they accept them.  

Refund Policy

Unfortunately because this company is selling insurance policies there really is no such thing as an applicable Refund Policy. There may be available Cancellation Policies, however, so customers will want to speak with the Haven Life Insurance Customer Service team to see what kind of consumer protection policies they do have in place at this time.

Reputation

Though this company is new, they already appear to have an excellent reputation in the life insurance industry and seem well rated by nearly every website that reviews and discusses insurance options, with the only drawback being that they do not provide permanent life insurance and are only limited to term life insurance. However, if this type of life insurance suits your needs, then it seems like this is a good company to work with.      

Competitors and Alternatives?

Certainly there are many other providers of term life insurance available to customers within the United States, but – as mentioned repeatedly on the Haven website – there is no other insurance provider at this time that will approve you for life insurance based on an online application.
